I have been a Modesto Police Officer since July of 2000. In 2002, I became a member of the Modesto Police Canine Unit and Max is my second canine partner. K9 Max is a Belgian Malinois and was born in the Netherlands on June 1, 2001. He was purchased by the Modesto Police Department in October of 2002 and certified for patrol duties in January 2003.

K9 Max is now a cross-trained canine and not only finds the bad guys but finds the drugs they like to have. K9 Max and I have had many great arrests during our time on patrol. We recently returned back to patrol from being assigned to the Modesto Police Department Street Gang Unit. K9 Max loves to locate the bad guys and their drugs.
