Hello, My name is William Jones. I have been a member of the Modesto Police Canine Unit for 11 years. This is my K9 partner "Cain". He is an 80 pound Belgian Malinois from Denmark. We have been working together for three years. Cain first started working as a patrol canine. His duties were searching for "bad guys" and catching them.

Over a two years ago we certified in Narcotics Detection. That means he can now search for and find drugs. This keeps him very busy which makes him happy. He loves his job and is excited every day we go to work. Cain has had a very successful career so far. He has found numerous "bad guys" that were hiding and has also found drugs they tried to hide.

Cain is a wonderful partner and devoted friend. There is a special bond between K9 and handler and I have been fortunate to experience that twice. He is my second K9 partner and I couldn't ask for anything better. Cain and I are currently assigned to the Modesto Police Department Street Gang Unit.
