Hello, my names is Dwight Miller. I have been a Modesto Police Officer since 2004. I was excited to hear that I was accepted into the Modesto Police Department Canine Unit in November of 2007.

Prior to being selected into the Canine Unit, I purchased K9 Bass at the age of two months old. My wife and I raised him at home. I was fortunate enough to have been allowed to have K9 Bass go through the K9 selection process here at the Modesto Police Department. K9 Bass passed the tests at which time we donated him to the city of Modesto, canine unit. K9 Bass soon became my certified Modesto Police Canine in April of 2008. We are excited to be able to work as a team and patrol the city of Modesto. K9 Bass and I are currently assigned to Patrol. K9 Bass loves training and can't wait to catch the "Bad guys."
